Yesterday our class got to visit Lazy 5 Ranch.  We got to ride on a wagon pulled by 3 horses.  The wagon took us on a tour of the ranch and all the wonderful animals.

We started the day with a walk to see some of the birds.  We saw an Australian Black Swan swimming in a pond.

The peacocks were very loud and talkative.  One peacock even showed off his beautiful feathers and gave us a little dance.

The wagon ride started with some Emus and Ostrich that we had to feed from the bucket.  We had to hold on tight!

 We saw an Elk

 These mouflon were very hungry.

We fed some llamas.

We liked looking at the Zebras but were not allowed to feed from our hands or buckets.  We learned that their stripes are really brown.

Enjoying the wagon ride with all our classroom friends!

This baby llama was just 2 weeks old.  She had lots of brown spots.

We had to stand up tall to feed the giraffes.  They were one of our favorite animals on the wagon ride!

The baby giraffe had not been named.  They were having a contest to name the giraffe.  Our name choices are Lollipop, Henry or Spotty.

This is a Brahma.  We were told to make a wish while we fed him.

This is a Watusi cow from Africa.  We could not feed them because of their large horns.

We ended with a walk around Lazy 5 to see the rest of the animals.

The Ring-tail Lemurs were fun to watch climb on the rocks and branches.  There was a baby ring-tail lemur that was taking a "piggy-back" ride on his mom's back.

 We saw porcupines and

 kangaroos.
